After two outings for the Steller Motorsport Audi R8 LMS GT3 in the 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship, the Buckinghamshire-based team will miss this weekend’s Snetterton round but with good reason!

“The Audi R8 LMS GT3 has shown already that it is capable of being in contention for race wins overall,” said Steller Motorsport Technical Director Max Daymond.

“The pace and consistency that both Richard Williams and Sennan Fielding produced at Donington Park last month, on only the cars’ second race outing, showed that clearly.”

“We know though that there is more to come and have decided that, instead of doing our testing within a race meeting, with all the associated time constraints and pressures, we’ll be out testing instead, ready, we believe, to mount a real attack for the season finale, and to show prospective 2021 customers just how competitive the Audi GT3 package is.”

“While it is always disappointing to miss a race, we believe that coming back for the three-hour Silverstone 500 with the car able to go head-to-head with the established frontrunners will give the Championship finale, and the Steller Motorsport team, the best possible boost for the end of what has been a trying 2020 for everyone in the sport.”
